This Developer Policy establishes the rules for accessing Instagram APIs through JaldiDM. All developers and applications must comply with these requirements and Instagram's official API documentation.

Scope & Purpose
This policy applies to all developers, applications, and integrations that use JaldiDM's infrastructure to access Instagram APIs. The purpose is to ensure:
- Secure and ethical API access
- Compliance with Meta's policies and legal obligations
- Protection of user data and privacy
- Stability and reliability of the platform
- Prevention of abuse and malicious use

API Access & Permissions
Access Requirements
- Valid Instagram Business Account connection
- User explicit consent for API access
- Active JaldiDM subscription
- Acceptance of this Developer Policy
Permitted Endpoints
- Instagram Graph API v21.0+ (DM messaging)
- Instagram Graph API v21.0+ (Comment replies)
- User permission endpoints (OAuth 2.0)

Instagram API Compliance
All API usage must comply with Meta's official policies:
- Follow Instagram Platform Policy and Community Guidelines
- Adhere to Meta's Data Use Terms and API Reference
- Respect user-set privacy settings and messaging preferences
- Honor rate limits and backoff requirements
- Use only documented, supported API endpoints
- Maintain current OAuth tokens and renew when necessary

API Usage Restrictions
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Accessing accounts without explicit user authorization
- Exceeding rate limits or circumventing throttling
- Reverse-engineering or attempting to discover undocumented APIs
- Scraping data or making excessive requests
- Accessing deprecated or unsupported API versions
- Sharing API credentials or access tokens
- Using APIs for purposes unrelated to the authorized integration

Data Handling Requirements
Encryption
All API tokens and sensitive data must be encrypted at rest. JaldiDM uses AES-256 encryption for token storage.
Data Retention
Message data is retained only as long as necessary to provide service. Upon account deletion, all associated data is purged within 7–10 business days.
User Consent
Developers must obtain explicit user consent before accessing, storing, or processing user data through Instagram APIs.

Monitoring & Audit
JaldiDM monitors API usage and maintains audit logs. We reserve the right to:
- Review API usage patterns for compliance
- Audit data handling practices
- Investigate violations of this policy
- Suspend API access for policy violations
- Provide usage reports and analytics to authorized accounts

Policy Updates
We update this policy to reflect changes in Instagram's APIs, security practices, and legal requirements. Material changes are communicated via email. Continued use of JaldiDM APIs constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
